U13 and U15 AAA Divisions Cancelled
As a result of poor Participation and Registration, we have been forced to cancel the 2022 U13 and U15 AAA Divisions for the Silver Stick Finals at Sarnia.
We have had to make the tough decision to cancel the U13 (Peewee) and U15 (Bantam) AAA divisions this year. The Canadian U15 teams (9) that were slated to participate in the Port Huron Finals this year were contacted and out of the nine teams, we were only able to secure 3. There were no takers for the U13 division of the Seven contacted from Port Huron, at all. Of the teams I spoke with, most had their schedules already set and could not get out of game commitments OR they wanted to see who was coming to the Finals before they committed. As we are doing a lot of work to get The Finals at Sarnia off the ground, we could not wait any longer than last night at midnight to see if we would get enough participation in those divisions. Thank you to those teams that did commit and I truly am sorry that the players and coaches will not be able to enjoy the Silver Stick experience this year.
