PrintCOVID 19 PROTOCOLS

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for registering for this year’s Pembroke Regional Silver Stick. It is great to see tournament hockey making a comeback this year however, as we all know it will be with limitations. It will definitely be challenging, so I am asking that everyone be patient and work with us to make the tournament a success. Below are the protocols that will be in place for this year’s tournament. These protocols may change as we go and if they do, we will update everyone at that time. Please remember, these are rules that the Health Department and Municipalities have put in place.

-       HEO, which is our governing body, has now mandated that all players participating in sanctioned events must be double
vaccinated with the exemption of youth under 12.

-       Proof of double vaccination plus ID will be required each time you enter the arenas. Only exemptions are youth 11 and under.
My suggestion to make things quicker would be to make copies of their proof of vaccination and ID and attach them to a
lanyard that can be quickly shown when you enter the arenas. It’s doubtful that they will be set up for QR codes.

-       Teams will be required to submit a contact tracing list of all players, coaches, family and anyone else expected to be with the
team. It is suggested that you list the player and each person that is expected to be with them. Convenors will be asking for
         this list asap.

-       Masks must be worn at all times within the arenas. Only exemptions are to eat or drink.

-       Social distancing, 6ft, must be observed unless you are family.

-       Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the arena.

-       Teams will only be able to access dressing rooms 30 minutes before gametime and must be out 30 minutes after. Teams can
arrive at the rink 45 minutes before your game time so that they
can be checked for their vaccination and ID. I suggest that
when teams arrive, they allow their players and coaching staff to go through first so they can get to the rooms to start getting
        dressed.

-       Showers in the dressing rooms are currently available however, this could change at any time.

-       No spitting or bodily fluids on the players benches, ice surface or throughout the facility.

-       Before returning to the arenas, it is the responsibility of the players to make sure their equipment is cleaned and sanitized.
