NOVICE hockey
Permission has been granted from the NOHA to hold a FUN style tournament as part of our regional silver stick tournament for all carded Novice players. There will be no advancing to a Silver Stick Final Tournament.
This years venue will be the RHP Training Centre on kelly lake road in Sudbury.
Instead of using a split ice surface we will be using a full ice surface(65x135) with 3'x4' nets. There will be no referees, no timekeepers, no scoreboard, no results kept and most of all no winners or losers announced.
There will be no icing, no offsides. Faceoffs at the beginning of the game ONLY.
Coaches only on the ice.
Games will be 3 15 min. straight time games with a 5 minute warm up at the beginning. Each team will play 4 games throughout the 3 days. The ice will be resurfaced after every 2nd game.
After each game players will receive a beverage.
Each player will receive a Silver Stick Lapel Pin and a tournament souvenir.
There will be no A or AA divisions, teams will be mixed and we will be holding registrations to 10 teams.
Registration cost for Novice is $750.00/team
