When is our first game?
If you are in the AE Finals you will start early morning on Thursday January the 5th, 2017. It is wise to plan on arriving Wednesday just be ready for play in the morning.
If you are involved in the Local League/House League Finals then you start play on early Friday January 6th, 2017. We do strongly encourage your teams to arrive on the Thursday in time for Opening Ceremonies.
When is Opening Ceremonies?
Opening Ceremonies are on Thursday January 5th, 2017 at the Scotiabank Convention Centre on Stanley Avenue in Niagara Falls. Pin trading is from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. This is also when the Coach and Captain register and received their assigned spot in our version of the Parade of Champions. Opening Ceremonies commence at 6:45 pm and normally we are out of the building by 8:00 pm. We try to add a different twist at this event every year. We have had guest speakers, special visitors like Lord Stanley and done a lumber jack presentation over the past few years.
When are the Championship games?
All Championship games on Sunday January 8th, 2017. They begin at approximate 9:00 am and run through until the 13th game is complete. Local/House League Semi Finals start of the morning with the AE Championships right after them and the Local/House League Championships close out the day.
