The 35th
Annual Silver Stick Newmarket Final is in the books!
When we
were forced to postpone our tournament in January of this year, we were
committed to rescheduling and to host the tournament this season. After the
past two years of uncertainty and lockdowns we felt this tournament was
important and something our athletes and families really needed. We did not
want you to miss another year!
With help from the Town of Newmarket, the Newmarket Minor Hockey Association and all
our amazing referees, timekeepers, arena staff and volunteers we were able to reschedule the
tournament. A very heartfelt thank you to you all for helping us make this
happen!
And, thank you to all the teams and families that came to Newmarket. We know it was not easy rescheduling your team’s calendars and that some played with reduced rosters due to it being March break. The players gave it their all and their excitement for being able to compete again for the coveted Silver Stick was very apparent!
