Midget Tournament Roundup
The 2015 Midget Silver Stick tournament wrapped up on Nov. 22 with Tavistock winning the "B" championship and South Bruce taking the "C" title. Tavistock defeated Saugeen Shores 3-2 in an exciting overtime game.
The Braves took a 2-0 first period lead, but Saugeen Shores fought back to tie score, forcing overtime. The C championship wasn't quite as close with South Bruce downing the host Wingham team 4-1. SB scored 3 unanswered goals in the second period to build up a lead before Wingham tallied their lone goal in the 3rd. South Bruce's 4th goal was into an empty net. Tavistock and South Bruce will now represent the Wingham Regional Silver Stick at the International tournament in Forest, Jan. 8-10, 2016.
