After much discussion and consultation with many inside and outside the hockey world, the decision was made last night to cancel this year’s Rocky Mountain Regional Silver Stick Tournament for the 2020-21 season.
With all of the uncertainty and unknowns heading into this hockey season we felt it best to cancel the tournaments now, rather than continue a wait and see approach as we enter the hockey season. This gives teams time to find other options for tournaments.
We did not come to this decision lightly or easily. We realize that teams will be disappointed not to participate in our Regional this year. But with the International Silver Stick cancelling all of their tournaments in Canada, as well as cancelling all Finals, we decided the best course of action is to follow their lead. The safety of our players, coaches, parents and tournament volunteers is our highest concern.
We look forward to hosting our tournaments again in the 2021-22 season. If you would like assistance finding another Regional that may be having their tournament this season please check out the Silver Stick main website at
