Wingham Regional, South Western Region, 2018-2019, Canadian Regionals (International Silver Stick)

The Atom Rep team had a very good weekend at the International Silver Stick in Forest, but lost in the championship game to the East Lambton Eagles.  Enroute to the finals, the Atoms had been 2-2 in round robin play.

The dates are set for the 2019 Wingham Regional Silverstick tournaments.  As long as the permits come through, the Midget tournament will run Nov. 10 - Nov. 17 and the Atom tournament from Nov. 24 - Dec. 1.

     The annual Wingham Regional Silver Stick Atom tournament wrapped up on Sunday, Dec. 2 with the host Wingham team winning the "C" division in an exciting 3-2 overtime win over Essa.  In "B", Saugeen Shores defeated Listowel 5-1 to earn the title.  Wingham had earlier defeated Shallow Lake 2-1 in the semi-final and Saugeen Shores got by Mitchell 5-1.  Both teams will now take part in the International Championship tournament in Forest, Jan. 25-27, 2019.  Good luck to both teams.

     The 2018 Wingham Regional Silverstick wrapped up on Nov. 18 with Mitchell capturing the "B" title 4-2 over Listowel and Norwich taking the "C", defeating St. George 2-1. These teams will now compete in the International Silverstick in Forest on Jan. 11-13, 2019.      The Atom tournament will start Nov. 25.
