teams in their pool to determine a ranking based on points. The top two ranked teams in each pool
will move on to the semi finals, crossover. The winner from each semi-final game will then play in

the Divisional Championship game. The Divisional Champions are then invited to participate at
their respective International Silver Stick Finals tournament.
Each team will play 3 games against the teams within their own pool. The teams will be ranked
from 1 st to 4 th , based on points from Round Robin Play.
The teams that finish 1 st and 2 nd in each pool will play a crossover vs opposite pool (1 st vs 2 nd ) in a
Semi-final game. The winner of each Semi-final game will then play in the Championship game.
Division of ten teams. (U15LL and U18LL) Each team will play 3 games. Division will consist of 3
pools. Two pools of 3 will cross over and play the 3 teams in the other pool of 3 teams. The third
pool will consist of 4 teams which will play the other three teams in their pool respectfully. Round
Robin play will determine the ranking of each team in each pool from 1 st to 3 rd or 1 st to 4 th depending
on the pool.
Rankings will be based on points earned. The team finishing first in each pool will advance to a
semifinal game. The fourth team advancing will be the team with the most points of the remaining
teams. Semi-Final games will consist of 1vs4, 2vs3. However, should this result in two teams
playing each other again, tournament officials will change the format to avoid a semi-final
consisting of a repeat of a previous match up of a Round Robin Game.
Scoring in Round Robin will be as follows as illustrated at
https://silverstick.org/Tournaments/26092/
2 pts for a win, 1 pt for a tie. 0 for loss.
Should teams be tied with the same number of points after the Round Robin, ties will be broken in
order of:

1 st . Winner of Head-to-Head game. (if applicable)
2 nd . Fewest total goals Against.
3 rd . Most total goals For.
4 th . Fewest total penalty minutes
5 th . Shortest time to score 1 st goal in team’s 1 st game.

In the event of a tie in a semi-final or championship game, a 5-minute stop time sudden victory
overtime period will be played. Teams will switch ends, as they were for the second period.

* If still tied after 5 minutes of sudden victory, a shootout will decide the winner —
Teams will use 5 different shooters (cannot be players removed from the game or a
player that was still serving a penalty at the end of the overtime). One player from
each team simultaneously attempting to score on the opposing team’s goal tender at
opposite ends of the ice.

* If still tied, the shootout will continue, and from this point on the teams may use any
of their players except for the before mentioned exclusion for the remainder of the
shootout. Winner will be decided when a shooter successfully scores as the opposing
shooter was unsuccessful at the same interval.

If at any time in the 3 rd period the goal differential reaches 5 goals, the clock will be changed to
run time. If the goal differential is reduced to 3 goals, there after, the clock will revert to stop
time.
