WELCOME TO THE WASAGA BEACH SILVER STICK REGIONALS!
On behalf of the Wasaga Beach Minor Hockey Association, we are please to welcome back Silver Stick to our community! It has been a long road, but we are thankful for the great stride that have been made to get to this point.
That being said, this letter outlines pertinent information for your upcoming Silver Stick Tournament Weekend. Please be sure to read this letter and share information facility guidelines with your team and their families, as well as other important information contained below.
WASAGA STARS ARENA FACILITY GUIDELINES
(As set out by the Town of Wasaga Beach effective Oct 28th, 2021 – subject to change)
To gain entry, patrons must provide a vaccine receipt (showing full vaccination status) and identification that includes name and birthdate. The following exceptions apply:
· All patrons under 12 years old
· 12–18 years old if participating in sport/fitness activity (not spectating)
· Workers and volunteers, including coaches and officials (with a supporting letter from their organization)
· Medical exemption with documentation
All arena visitors are required to disinfect their hands using hand sanitizer upon arrival.
Masks are required in the facility and spectators are asked to move into the stands as much as possible to minimize congestion. Please no loitering.
The only exception to wearing a mask throughout the facility is participants on the ice and those stationary while eating/drinking (providing room capacities are adhered to).
Specific capacity limits have been put in place
· 92 spectators (per side) are permitted in the stands
· Change room capacity is set at 20 people, with masks on
· 90 people are permitted upstairs in the arena auditorium
All spectators and participants are allowed entry into the facility 15 minutes prior to the scheduled game and must leave the facility 15 minutes after the game concludes.
All coaches, participants, and spectators must understand respiratory etiquette, hand hygiene, physical distancing, use of PPE and respect self-screening restrictions.
TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATONS
Team Personnel must provide a hard copy of their current approved roster, as well as a hard copy of their Travel Permit to the Convener desk prior to your first game. The Convener desk is located upstairs in the arena auditorium. Game sheets must be completed 15 minutes prior to your scheduled game and signed by all bench staff. KITCHEN
The arena canteen in the lobby will be closed for the duration of the tournament. However, upstairs in the auditorium, volunteers will be serving food and drinks. Tim Horton's will also be onsite for all our hot beverage and donut needs!
SIVLER STICK SWAG
Silver Stick Swag will be available in pre-orders and on the tournament weekend. Our Fundraising Committee will be selling Silver Stick Sweatshirts and T-Shirts upstairs in the auditorium. To ensure you do not miss out, it is recommended that teams pre-order. An order form is attached.

As the Silver Stick motto states, we ask that all Coaches, Participants, and Spectators to please be respectful of our Town Staff, Referees, and many volunteers that have worked so hard to make this tournament a success, under success rigorous regulations and guidelines. It has been 2 full years since we have been able to come together to cheer on our players, as they compete for the regional title. Let us all work together to make it memorable for all the participants and fans.
