Huron-Bruce Wins International Atom "C"
Huron-Bruce and Kincardine, winners of the Wingham Regional
Atom “C” & “B” divisions respectively, competed in the International Silver
Stick tournament in Forest on the Jan24-26 weekend. Listowel was also at the tournament in the “B”
division after being invited to fill in for a team that was unable to attend. Listowel was the “B” finalist in the Wingham
tournament losing out to Kincardine.
Kincardine made it to the semi-final before bowing out 1-0
to the Penetang Flames. They had a 3-2
record in the tournament. Listowel had a
tough go, losing all 4 games they played.
In the “C” division, Wingham champion Huron-Bruce won their group becoming International Silver Stick champions! Something these players and coaches will always remember. They went 4-1 in the tournament with their one loss coming against Belmont (3-2) who they then beat in the championship game 4-1.
