Wingham Teams Play at Internationals
The winner of the Midget “B” and the finalists of the Midget
“C” Wingham Silver Stick tournament played in the International tournament this
past weekend.
Twin Centre, winner of the “B” side had a great weekend
winning their division and were named International Champions. Twin Centre played 5 games in all with a
spotless 5-0 record. Congratulations!!
In the “C” division, Wingham winner Flesherton, and finalist South Bruce both participated. South Bruce was invited when one of the other teams was unable to attend. Flesherton had close games but unfortunately was 1-3 in Round Robin play with 3 of their games decided by 1 goal. South Bruce faired better, going 3-0 in Round Robin but lost their next 2 games bowing out in the semi-final to eventual winner Sturgeon Lake. Congratulations to all the teams for representing the Wingham Regional Silver Stick so well.
