The first puck drops soon in Collingwood for the 19th Annual Silver Stick AE Qualifier.
With registration now closed work on the schedule can be completed for the 37 teams competing the weekend of November 17th to 19th in Collingwood.
Novice, Atom and Peewee teams will compete in eight team groups, seperated into four team divisions. The top two teams in each division advance to the cross-over semi-final, and the semi-final winners will compete on Championship Sunday for the covered Silver Stick banner.
The Bantam division has seven teams and will play two games and an elimination game to determine the semi-final participants. After the first two games the teams will be seeded by standings, with the first place team earning a berth in the semi-final while the other six teams play and elimination game. The elimination game winners will go on to the semi-finals and the semi-final winners get to play on Championship Sunday.
The Midget group has six teams seperated into a pair of three team divisions. Teams will play crossover games for their three round robin games, with the division winners and the next two best teams overall advancing to the semi-finals. The two winners in the semi-final games will close out the tournament on Championship Sunday.
Admission is free to all arenas through out the tournament, including Championship Sunday.
