IT HAS BEEN TIME THAT WILL BE CHERISHED FOR EVER, News, Collingwood Regional, South Western Region, 2022-2023, Canadian Regionals (International Silver Stick)

  The end Silver Stick Collingwood brought to end my time as Tournament Director for this wonderful event.

  Back in 2005 Linda, and I along with Matt and Angie Erickson, and Brad and Bonnie Parkes joined together to handle the still young Silver Stick Collingwood tournament.   This past weekend Linda and I were the last of the group, that also included at time John and Jocelyn Arnold and Christine Thompson, to leave the tournament.
   It has been a great adventure to see the tournament grow, and change from AE to the A level and add the very popular HL/LL division to make two super weekends of hockey for kids of all ages.
   We want to say thanks to all of the people who have helped us over the years, and the various board members from Collingwood Minor Hockey who also showed faith in what we were doing and offered great support.
  We are excited to see what is in store for the future of Silver Stick Collingwood as we are confident that new Tournament Director Scott Hewlitt has great goals for the event.  (and Andrea too, as Scott already said his wife has been invaluable during the learning curve)
