DAY ONE IN THE BOOKS
A day full of action sets up a crucial day two at Silver Stick Collingwood.

Teams will continue to vie for a chance in the play offs and ultimately a trip to the Pelham Finals when Silver Stick Collingwood action resumes Saturday morning in Collingwood and Thornbury.  After day one of play none of the 16 teams competing over three divisions has been eliminated from potential play off action.

In U11 division each team has two games remaining, and the play off spots are all wide open.
Elmvale leads the way with a pair of wins, the two shut out victories give them the advantage heading into the final day of round-robin action.
Three teams are tied for second with 1-1 records, and only 2 points separate the 5th place team from the play off race.
The first place team gets an automatic trip to Championship Sunday and the second and third place teams meet in a semi final tomorrow following the round robin.  All of the games are at Eddie Bush Arena starting at 10am.

In the U13 division the cross over play for round robin has created a lot of interesting possibilities.  The final set of games is tomorrow morning, and at the start of play all six teams still have a shot at the four play off spots.
Collingwood and Penetang control each control their own destiny after posting 2 & 0 marks on day one.  The remaining four teams wont know their fate until games get played. All of the U13 games are at Central Park Arena.

The U15 division also is set up for an interesting day.
St Mary's and Dorechester head into the second day tied for first after a tie with each other.   Depending on the day either could end up in Championship Sunday after the round robin, or even on the outside of the play offs looking in.
Collingwood and Listowel are tied as well and face the same fate.   Centre Wellington didn't win Friday but will play a big factor Saturday and still has play off hopes.
After the round robin games at Thornbury Saturday the semi final game is set for Saturday evening at the Eddie Bush Arena in Collingwood.  The winner of the round robin goes to Championship Sunday and the Pelham finals.
Admission is free at all three arenas if you want to drop by and watch.  (Covid screening and mask protocols in place)
